Mitchell and his fellow classmates had fire safety week at school.
He came home singing his "stop, drop & roll" song. Mitchell explained to me how fires are bad and how we should never play with matches, it was really cute.
Yesterday, the Fire Department came to his school. Fireman Fred explained what they do and how they save people, animals, property from fires. He also went over the rules on what to do if your clothes were ever to catch on fire... All the kids repeated... "Stop, Drop and Roll". He also told them NEVER to run if your clothes are on fire because that will make the fire bigger.
They went over the protective clothing that fireman wear when battleing a fire. They gave the kids a tour of the truck and the best part.... The kids got to fire the hose!
