Mitchell had his first soccer practice this past Thursday. He will be practicing on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 6-6:45pm. He has three coaches... Coach Mike N., Coach Hooshie and Coach Mike. He is so excited. We went to the store to buy his soccer shoes and shin guards.. The minute we got home he wanted to wear them. Mitchell is playing for a team called the "Northern Storm". It is a mixed team with boys and girls ages 4 & 5. He calls his soccer team his "cool kids" and he will be playing with his school buddy Sofie. Mitchell has already made a new buddy Nick. They love to play with each other during practice..... For having no experience, Mitchell has done well at practice. It is funny to watch the newbies... they are easily distracted..Mitchell gets side track by the dandelions he finds on the field- of course he stops, picks it, makes his wish and blows...He is in his own little world... Coach Hooshie, calling him directing him to where he should be... but Mitchell continues to make his wish until he gets distracted by his coach...It is funny and from what I am told by other parents- it is completely normal for kids to do this their first year... The games will be interesting. His first official game is on Saturday, September 12th! We also picked up his uniform last night and he wore it ALL DAY TODAY.... soccer shoes, shin guards, we are talking the whole sha bang.... It is really cute.
