UC Davis Bohart Museum of Entomology fieldtrip

We went on a field trip today to UC Davis. The kids learned about different insects/bugs. They had a great time. After the little lesson, we got to go on a "bug hunt". The children were given little magnifying boxes, cups and spoons. We found Rollie pollies, earwigs, spiders, worms, slugs, millipedes and centipedes. After the bug collecting we tallied up how much of what was found. Then all the kids and parents got to hold a Hissing Cockroach from Madagascar. Some kids freaked out and some kids had a ball letting the cockroach crawl up their arms. I even held one...
Mitchell didn't hold one but he touched one. It was a great time.....
